Ashleigh M. Adams, PhD

(she/her)

Licensed Psychologist

Hi, I’m Dr. Ashleigh Adams, a licensed psychologist with 10 years of experience in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), emotion regulation, and couples therapy including cognitive processing therapy, prolonged exposure, STAIR, mindfulness, anger management, and CBT for bipolar disorder.

I’ve had the privilege of helping adult individuals and couples navigate complex trauma, combat trauma, sexual trauma, moral injury, anger, aggression, anxiety, mood instability, relationship difficulties, infidelity, suicidality, self-harm, and substance use disorder. You can process emotional pain to achieve greater mental and emotional well-being.

My goal is to make myself obsolete – I will partner with you as you do the hard work, learn difficult skills, and ultimately reach a point of self-sufficiency and confidence so that I’m no longer necessary. I will ask difficult questions, listen, and empower you so that you can create the life that you want to live.

When trauma has taken away choices, I help clients reclaim their agency. If you or someone you know is seeking support and looking to overcome the cycle of trauma and avoidance, I’d love to discuss how we can work together. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family including my dog Casper, being in nature, gardening and cooking.

Dr. Ashleigh’s credentials

I worked at the Steven A Cohen Military Family Clinic at Penn for 8 years before we lost funding; I also served as the Assistant Director and Training Director for the last 5 years of its existence.

Mora Grehl, PhD

(she/her)

Clinical psychology postdoctoral fellow

Hello, I’m Dr. Mora Grehl. I am a postdoctoral clinical psychology fellow, able to see clients virtually in NJ and PA. I offer both individual and couples therapy, with a special interest in treating concerns related trauma, identity, and relationship difficulties.

For some, the hardest part isn’t knowing they’re stuck in painful patterns — it’s being able to break free from it. If you’re feeling unsure of how to move forward, you don't have to figure it out on your own. I specialize in helping individuals and couples make sense of their past experiences, identify the core issues that are getting in the way, and develop a path toward meaningful change. Whether yuo're navigating conflict, distance, uncertainty, or past wounds that are resurfacing in the present, I offer a steady, nonjudgmental space to help you sort through the confusion and reconnect with what matters most to you.

I believe therapy should be both collaborative and illuminating — rooted in your lived experience but expansive enough to help you see things in a new light. I work actively and thoughtfully to help you uncover patterns that may no longer serve you, explore new perspectives, and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others — both in and outside of session.

My approach often resonates with individuals and couples who are open to exploration and willing to grow, despite feeling uncertain, discouraged or overwhelmed. It is grounded in thoughtful self-reflection and guided by practical strategies, all while honoring what matters most to you. If you're open to doing the work, I’ll be right there with you — helping you reconnect, rebuild trust, and create a new path forward.

I have received training in and provide a variety of evidence-based psychotherapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT).

In my free time, you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my husband and friends, going to concerts and eating my way around Philadelphia.
